What we do

The SEND Strategic Early Intervention Team collaborates with mainstream schools to enhance support for SEND, focusing on early intervention, professional development, and targeted school support. They implement programs like the Relational Schools Programme and Special School Outreach to foster inclusive cultures and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

The team's work currently sits within the SEND Transformation Programme in theme group one ‘Right Support Right Time’ which forms the  cornerstone of the programme because success in enabling more children and young people to thrive in an inclusive settings, means better outcomes for children and young people. This theme is predicated on earlier help and prevention and is the foundation for sustainable change, trust and confidence across the SEND system.
