Year 7 Applications for 2027/28

Applications can now be submitted for Year 6 children to transfer to Year 7 at secondary school for 2027/28 entry.

• The deadline for receipt of completed applications is 31 October 2026. 

Those who apply by the deadline will receive a Year 7 school offer on National Offer Day, 1 March 2027. Those who apply late will be contacted later in the year and are less likely to be offered a place at a preferred school. 

Please note that this year, children who are eligible for free home to school transport will not be sent a paper response form. Families will need to access the portal direct and confirm whether they wish to accept the offer of free travel. 

Although 99% of people apply online these days, we have attached a PDF of the application form (pdf, 215kb) in case you are asked to provide one by the 1%.
