Planning for the 2026/27 academic year? Join the Museum of Oxford for a free Teacher Tour and discover how their workshops bring local history and curriculum topics to life.

Designed specifically for teachers and school staff, these relaxed sessions provide exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the museum’s learning programme.

What to expect

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

  • Take part in a teacher-focused gallery tour
  • Handle artefacts usually reserved for school workshops
  • Explore learning spaces not normally open to the public
  • Step inside the museum’s historic Victorian courtroom

Led by the Museum’s Learning Officer, the tour offers the chance to ask questions, discuss curriculum links and explore how a visit can support learning across:

  • History
  • Geography
  • PSHE
  • Local studies

As the event takes place during the summer holidays, attendees are welcome to bring colleagues, friends or family and make it part of a relaxed summer visit.
