Designed specifically for teachers and school staff, these relaxed sessions provide exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the museum’s learning programme.
What to expect
Visitors will have the opportunity to:
- Take part in a teacher-focused gallery tour
- Handle artefacts usually reserved for school workshops
- Explore learning spaces not normally open to the public
- Step inside the museum’s historic Victorian courtroom
Led by the Museum’s Learning Officer, the tour offers the chance to ask questions, discuss curriculum links and explore how a visit can support learning across:
- History
- Geography
- PSHE
- Local studies
As the event takes place during the summer holidays, attendees are welcome to bring colleagues, friends or family and make it part of a relaxed summer visit.
