Take a minute to check your details
It's important to keep your personal information up to date in Employee Self Service (ESS). Accurate information helps ensure you receive important communications and that your records remain correct.
Why it matters
In an emergency
Up-to-date contact information means managers can quickly contact the right person if an emergency occurs.
Making sure you’re paid correctly
Accurate address and bank details help ensure you are paid on time and into the correct account.
Access to important information
Keeping your work and personal email addresses up to date helps ensure you receive important information, such as pension updates and employment-related communications.
Updating your details is particularly important as final payslips and P45s will be sent to leavers by email using their personal email address. A P45 shows how much tax has been paid during the tax year up to the point employment ends.
We also encourage colleagues to review and update, where appropriate, their:
- Disability information
- Religion or belief information
- Ethnicity information
- Gender identity information
