Stronger security is now in place
Employee Self Service (ESS) accounts now have enhanced security through the introduction of multifactor authentication (MFA), when you access ESS from a personal device.
The new authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one‑time passcode (OTP) in addition to your password when you log in.
When you register, you’ll choose one of the following options to receive or generate your OTP:
- Your work email
- Your personal email
- An authentication app – simply download an app (like Microsoft Authenticator) and scan the QR code on screen to generate your passcode.
If you’ve previously registered using a memorable word you’ll need to switch to one of the authentication options above by 8 June 2026.
You can set up MFA now to avoid any disruption and make sure you have a secure login experience.
