School Chef Educator Programme

Chefs in Schools is a charity transforming school food and food literacy so every child can access nutritious, delicious meals that fuel learning. We empower school kitchen teams with practical training in food skills, nutrition, and food culture, whether catering is in-house or outsourced.

The School Chef Educator Programme combines in-person workshops, online learning, and 1:1 mentoring to help schools meet food standards, reduce waste, and inspire a love of good food. With the School Food Standards undergoing their biggest overhaul in a decade, the programme breaks down the new regulations on what foods can be served and how often, providing practical guidance to help your school transition smoothly.

This practical training supports school kitchen teams to:

  • Improve food quality and compliance
  • Reduce food waste
  • Engage children in food literacy
  • Design seasonal, nutritious menus kids will love

Sessions kick off on Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at Savona Foodservice, Unit 11-12, Oxonian Park, Langford Locks, Kidlington, Oxfordshire, OX5 1FP

Cost: FREE, fully funded by Oxfordshire County Council Public Health
