NEW course from the Virtual School

We often talk about the importance of relationships in schools, but what does this actually look like in practice?

Description
This session explores what relational practice looks like in everyday educational settings: the practices that make, maintain and mend relationships on a daily basis and why this matters for children and young people. It focuses on the role of relationships as a foundation for learning, regulation and belonging, and how adult curiosity, consistency and reflective responses can support children who may have experienced trauma, loss or instability.

Outcomes
Participants will develop a shared understanding of relational approaches in school, reflect on their own practice, and consider practical strategies that help children feel safe, understood and able to engage - particularly at times of stress, challenge or transition.
