A Message of Thanks and Farewell to Michelle Jenkins
A Message of Thanks and Farewell to Michelle Jenkins
After 35 years of dedicated service with Oxfordshire County Council, Michelle has decided that the time is right to take a well-earned break and will be leaving the Early Years Quality Improvement Team at the end of August.
Michelle has made an outstanding contribution to the Council, the Early Years sector, and, most importantly, to improving outcomes for children and families across Oxfordshire. Her commitment, expertise, and support have been valued by colleagues, providers, and partners alike, and she will be greatly missed. Michelle has tirelessly worked over the years to improve life chances of our youngest residents and has seen many central government initiatives come into Oxfordshire, of which she has been pivotal crafting, developing, and embedding both over a sustained period of time and most recently – in a rapidly changing early years landscape.
It has been a privilege to work alongside Michelle, and we know that many colleagues across the county will join us in expressing their appreciation for all she has achieved during her career with Oxfordshire County Council.
I know you will join me in thanking Michelle for her many years of service, leadership, and dedication. We wish her every happiness and success for the future and hope she enjoys her next chapter.
Arrangements for 2026–27 are currently being finalised, and further details will be shared in September.
