A message from Jacqui Smith - Minister for Skills

The government has set out plans to reform the 16–19 qualifications system, including the introduction of V Levels, changes to T Levels, new level 2 pathways, and additional funding from 2026–27. Providers will be asked to complete transition planning from 2026 to support a phased move to the new qualifications landscape.
