Adding and verifying your personal (non‑work) email address in IBC – My Information helps keep your details secure and ensures important information reaches you quickly when needed.

Many colleagues have already added a personal email address, but some haven’t completed the verification step. Verification simply confirms that the email address really belongs to you.

Having a verified email address gives the IBC a secure and reliable way to contact you:

  • now, and
  • if needed after you leave employment

With cyber crime and identity theft on the rise, a verified contact method helps protect your personal information and ensures it is only ever sent to the right place. It also means that more information can be shared securely in the future.

How to add and verify your personal email

  1. Go to My Information in the IBC portal
  2. Select Edit personal details (top left‑hand corner of the screen)
  3. Add a personal (non‑work) email address
  4. Click Verify email
  5. Check your personal email inbox (and junk folder) for a four‑digit code
  6. Enter the code to complete verification
  7. Look for the green Email verified message
