Holiday Vouchers - Schools Holidays (HSF)

Support in the school holidays for households eligible for Free School Meals will come to an end this Easter. 

A new funding programme has been introduced, which is effective from April 2026, called the Crisis & Resilience Fund.  The new Crisis & Resilience fund does not allow us to make payments to all households in receipt of free school meals every school holiday. This is not a policy choice, it is something which we are no longer permitted to do.

The Council will agree a new Cost of Living programme in April 2026 which will include new spending on projects to support families on low incomes. The Council’s Residents Support Scheme will also continue which can provide one off financial support to households in crisis.
