Day of Welcome Event - Friday 12 June

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts and culture festival, celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. Taking place from 15–21 June 2026,

it brings together communities across the UK through arts, cultural, educational and community events that promote understanding and inclusion.

Schools play an important role by taking part in assemblies, lessons, creative projects and fundraising activities, helping pupils learn about refugee experiences, celebrate diversity and build empathy.
