2026 Oxfordshire Virtual School Annual Conference - Thursday 8 October
The Oxfordshire Virtual School Annual Conference returns on Thursday 8 October 2026 at Unipart House, Oxford, bringing together professionals from across education to explore how schools and partners can improve outcomes for care-experienced children, children with a social worker and children in kinship care.
This year's conference will feature keynote presentations from Louise Bombèr, a leading expert in attachment-aware and trauma-responsive practice, and Linda Culling, Senior His Majesty's Inspector (Schools), who will share Ofsted's perspective on inclusion and support for vulnerable learners. The programme will also include contributions from children, young people and partner organisations, offering both lived experience and practical approaches that can be applied in educational settings.
Attendance by Designated Teachers is strongly encouraged. Secondary schools may also wish to send an additional colleague with responsibility for inclusion, attendance, behaviour, pastoral support or safeguarding to support the wider implementation of learning across their setting.
The conference is free to attend and provides an opportunity to hear from nationally recognised speakers, strengthen professional networks and gain insight into approaches that support educational stability, belonging and positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
