OxWell 2025 Early Findings

Public Health have collaborated with University of Oxford again for the delivery of the OxWell Survey which has been is vital in enabling over 35,000 students across primary schools, secondary schools and further education colleges to share their experiences and help shape a deeper understanding of young people’s mental health and well-being.

The response this year has been the highest for Oxfordshire with a return rate of >20,000 responses. These voices from young people are really important to the system in telling us what’s important to them and how they want to access help.

The OxWell 2025 Early Findings document (pdf, 514kb)which has been circulated to schools today and there is a short 4-minute video for student participants which explains more.

Mina Fazel the lead researcher has been working closely with the schools who have participated in helping them interpret their results. We’re also pleased to have been able to get an additional OxWell data hub platform in place so quickly so that schools who participated can explore their data in much more detail as well as compare the school’s data to the wider whole OxWell sample and other Local Authority Areas.

We are just working through the data with University of Oxford and putting a summary together for Oxfordshire which we will share with you all when we can.
