Oxford temporary congestion charge
From Wednesday 29 October there will be a temporary congestion charge on six roads in Oxford. The Botley Road closure means a delay to our traffic filters trial that aims to reduce congestion and pollution, improve bus services and create safer cycling routes.
The temporary congestion charge is an interim measure to tackle congestion until the traffic filter trial can begin.
Oxfordshire County Council has developed a communications toolkit for schools to help you inform staff and parents about the scheme.
The toolkit contains ready-to-use copy and graphics you can use on your internal channels as well as posters and suggested social media posts. It also includes content on sustainable travel options.
You can access the toolkit on county council’s communications portal (scroll down to the schools toolkit.)
More information about the scheme and the permit application system is available on the congestion charge website.
