This course provides training for staff who may need to manage an emergency during an educational visit. It is suited to Headteachers, EVCs and School Business Managers. The course supports Educational Visit Co-ordinators and offers ideas and materials to improve emergency planning.

EVC Re-validation Course

This half-day course is for school EVCs who require revalidation every three years. It refreshes and extends prior training, shares learning from recent national incidents, and supports the development of competent visit leaders.

EVC Training Course for New EVCs

Date: 23 January 2026
Time: 09:00 – 15:30
Location: Hill End OEC, Oxford (OX2 9NJ)
Cost: £210 (includes lunch, refreshments and handbook)

This one-day OEAP certificated course covers management checks and procedures for leading off-site visits, as recommended by DfE, Local Authorities and school employers. It is suitable for all schools and establishments (maintained, academies or independent).
Mandatory for maintained schools to have an in-date EVC.
