MASH Open Mornings

We are really pleased to announce that we are continuing with the MASH Open Mornings for the academic year 2025-2026.

These are for our education colleagues across all school settings to come together in small groups (no more than 20) and learn more about the MASH process. We keep these groups small to facilitate discussions and have an open approach to questions.

We’d like to invite you to attend one of these sessions.

Please note the invites are extended to one person, per setting, per session so open and flowing conversations can take place. We are led by availability of the location but have tried to consider different days and times to accommodate colleagues flexible working dynamics.

Location: Westgate Collaboration Space 2nd floor (in the Library in the Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford- just over the road from County Hall) There is no parking, so leave plenty of time to get into Oxford city centre.

Dates and Times:

  • Tuesday 21st October 9-11am
  • Monday 24th November 10am-12noon
  • Monday 1st December 1pm-3pm
  • Tuesday 13th January 10am-12noon
  • Tuesday 10th February 10am-12noon
  • Tuesday 10th March 10am-12 noon

The Open Morning is a chance to see the process of a referral once made to the MASH, who it is seen by, how it's assessed, the process of moving from senior to worker to partner agencies and how decisions are made. An Assistant Team Manager and Senior Practitioner will talk through some data and illustrate the quantity and variation of types of referrals. Opportunities are also built into the session to ask any questions about processes and procedures. The aim is to give you a better understanding of how MASH works and what happens after you have submitted your portal referral or when you are asked for an education check.

If you'd like to book a slot, please email: Katrina.Johnston@oxfordshire.gov.uk with your preferred date. Please note this is NOT a training session, we do not charge for attendance but do fully expect if you cannot attend, you let us know so we can alert colleagues who may be on the waiting list for a session.
