March 2026 Wraparound Childcare grant funding deadline

• Are you looking to attract more pupils to your school?
• Would you like to support working parents and carers?
• Do you want to improve attendance and punctuality with a soft start to the day?
• Would you like pupils to experience a variety of different activities?
• Do you want to potentially increase funding coming into school? 

Evidence has shown that operating, or working with an external provider to operate, before and after school childcare provision on or near school sites can help achieve this. Funding is available to support the start-up for the first 2 years when you create new wraparound (before and after school) provision or extend current provision by increasing number of places and/ or opening times. But this DfE funding is only available for places starting before March 2026.
