Health and Safety: the role of the board

This course will be delivered by Paul Lundy, County Health and Safety Manager, and Ian Courtney, an experienced Chair of Governors.  They will discuss the board’s role in the health and safety of their school.  

This session will consider the legal duties of the board and the areas covered by this legislation; policy and risk assessment requirements; the distinction between the senior leadership’s role and the role of the board; practical suggestions around monitoring this area and signposting to available support.
