The Profile Handbook for 2026 is published on the DfE webpages

The guidance has been produced by the Department for Education (DfE) to help teachers to complete the early years foundation stage (EYFS) profile assessment. 

There are some important changes so if you are a Reception Teacher, Headteacher or assessment co-ordinator in a school we encourage you to take some time to read through.

The Quality Improvement Team are offering a range of workshops for Reception staff and Year 1 teachers on the EYFS Profile and facilitating  ‘peer to peer sessions’ moderating judgements as required by the DfE. For further information please see Training & Events | Oxfordshire | Education Services
