Early Years SEND Funding for Nursery Classes
Did you know there are funding streams available in Oxfordshire to help early years settings and schools provide inclusive support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?
The Early Years SEND Funding page offers clear guidance on how to access financial support for children with emerging or more complex needs. Funding options include:
- Inclusion Funding – For early intervention to support children with low-level or emerging SEND.
- Disability Access Fund (DAF) – A lump sum to help providers make reasonable adjustments for children with disabilities.
- Early Years Additional Funding – For children whose needs go beyond what Inclusion Funding can support.
- SEND Transition Top Up Funding – To help schools support children with high-level needs as they move into reception.
Funding can be used flexibly for resources, staff training, or targeted support, but settings must evidence its impact on the child’s progress and well-being.
