Early Help Portal - News Strengths and Needs Version Now Live!
We’re delighted to announce that the Early Help Portal has been refreshed, and the new S&N version is now live. Your feedback has shaped these improvements – thank you! The updated portal is simpler, faster, and easier to use, helping you focus on what matters most: supporting families.
While all systems can have the occasional quirks, the portal remains the best way to capture and showcase the incredible work happening in our communities.
Why the Portal Matters
- Identifies gaps in resources and areas of need for families
- Raises awareness of Early Help across Oxfordshire
- Informs support planning for families
- Highlights and records the amazing work you do every day
Currently, two-thirds of S&Ns are submitted via the portal – fantastic progress. Thank you to everyone who has persevered!

Why Early Intervention Matters
Early intervention helps address challenges before they escalate, supporting children’s development, strengthening families, and improving educational outcomes. Acting early reduces long-term impacts such as poor attendance or mental health issues, builds resilience within families, and ensures children have the best start in life. Timely support prevents the need for more intensive services later. Data gathered through the portal informs planning and demonstrates the positive impact of Early Help across communities.
Thank you for your continued commitment to Early Help.
