DSL Supervision

“The role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead carries a significant level of responsibility, and they should be given the additional time, funding, training, resources and support they need to carry out the role effectively” Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025 

The Education Safeguarding Advisory Team (ESAT) offer reflective supervision for Designated Safeguarding Leads which aims to create a supportive environment where practitioners can reflect on their work, explore their feelings and develop their skills, guided by the individual and tailored to specific needs. 

The offer will include:

• 6 sessions per year / 1 per term, via Teams
• 1:1 session with qualified facilitator
• Opportunity to review practice
• Advice and guidance
• Supporting wellbeing
• Protected time
• Record of supervision session
