ADHD Inclusive Support Series

New ADHD Inclusive Support Series (ISS) replaces ADHD protocol Inclusivesupportseries-ADHD.docx We’re pleased to share a new strengths-based tool: the ADHD Inclusive Support Series (ISS), which replaces the old ADHD protocol.

This updated document is designed to help schools identify reasonable adjustments and strategies in the learning environment when needed. It supports the identification of a child’s areas of strength and challenge and can be shared with health professionals when considering a referral for a neurodevelopmental assessment.

Developed in collaboration with colleagues from education, health (including CAMHS), and social care, this new approach promotes greater consistency across different areas of need. The document should be used as part of the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle, alongside the Ordinarily Available SEND Provision (OASP) guidance and the SEND Indicators Tool.

The ADHD ISS is also designed to be used alongside both the SEMH Indicators Tool and the SEMH Inclusive Support Series (ISS).

All Inclusive Support Series documents are available via the SEND Framework. High quality, inclusive teaching and learning
