Free travel plan tool available for all Oxfordshire schools

Modeshift STARS is a free online travel plan tool (PDF, 638kb) which encourages schools across Oxfordshire, to increase levels of sustainable and active travel in order to improve the health and well-being of children and young people. 

Modeshift STARS offers National Accreditation for schools that have demonstrated best practice in the implementation of School Travel Plan. Sites are awarded Approved, Good, Very Good, Excellent and Outstanding accreditation.

Very Good and Excellent recognise sites that achieve a reduction in single-occupancy car journeys to/from their site and Outstanding recognises sites that achieved an increase in active travel modes.

Many Oxfordshire schools are already using Modeshift STARS to develop their school travel plan and Rush Common Primary School, in Abingdon, recently achieved Good accreditation for the school travel plan, which is a great achievement.
