The Targeted Youth Support Service works with children and young people at times of difficulty
The Targeted Youth Support Service TYSS works alongside children and young people preventatively to reduce the escalation of statutory involvement.
The Targeted Youth Support Service offers group work and one-to-one support to any young person aged between 11 and 18 seeking support with social and emotional development.
Support we may provide includes:
- Small groups, focusing on needs such as: well-being, edge of service involvement, other support not suitable. Groups are focused, time limited and available in school and community settings.
- One-to-one support for up to 12 weeks to enable the young person to grow and develop socially and emotionally and access support in their community.
- Work with communities to address wider issues relating to young people such as Anti-Social Behaviour, lack of local youth provision, responding to violence in a community or other sudden trauma. Often this includes focused detached work for a specific time.
Our support extends to anyone aged up to 25 with an EHCP or has been part of Children We Care For. The young person must consent, and they may refer themselves.
