Thames Valley Police Schools Engagement
As the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Thames Valley, I am committed to ensuring a clear and consistent approach to engaging with young people in education settings. Since June 2024, we have been conducting a comprehensive review of our existing delivery model – from the work of our Safer Schools Officers and Neighbourhood Policing Teams, to the valuable contributions of our delivery partners who support positive early interventions.
This review is crucial in shaping our future commitments and in strengthening our existing collaboration with education partners. To ensure a thorough and informed approach, it is essential that we hear directly from school leaders about their experiences and perspectives therefore we have developed a short survey to capture a snapshot of the current landscape. I would greatly appreciate your support in encouraging school leaders within your local authority to complete this survey. Their insights will play a vital role in shaping how we develop and enhance our commitments to young people and education professionals.
The survey will close on Friday, 25 April. I have written to head teachers directly, but your support in promoting participation is invaluable, and I sincerely appreciate your help in ensuring the voices of school leaders are heard.
Thank you for your time and support.
