A new School Chef Educator Programme in Oxfordshire

Chefs in Schools, in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council Public Health, is offering fully funded places on its School Chef Educator Programme (pdf, 2mb) this autumn for Oxfordshire schools.

Chefs in Schools is a charity transforming school food and food education so every child can access nutritious, delicious meals that fuel learning.

They empower school kitchen teams with practical training in food skills, nutrition, and food culture – whether catering is in-house or outsourced. The School Chef Educator Programme combines in-person workshops, online learning, and 1:1 mentoring to help schools meet food standards, reduce waste and inspire a love of good food.

This practical training supports school kitchen teams to:

  • Improve food quality and compliance
  • Reduce food waste
  • Engage children in food education
  • Design seasonal, nutritious menus kids will love

Sessions kick off on Monday 20 October at Oxford City Farm, Cornwallis Rd, Oxford OX4 3NH
