KS2 Writing Moderation

On 16 May, schools should receive an email stating whether or not they will receive a KS2 writing moderation visit this year.

Please look out for the email and check your spam folders. If you haven’t received an email after this date, you can contact either SchoolImprovementTeam@Oxfordshire.gov.uk or our moderation manager jane.downes@junipereducation.org to find out whether or not you will receive a moderation visit in 2025.

For schools receiving a moderation visit, I would like to highlight the local agreement, which will be attached to your email. If your Year 6 colleagues would like to know the pupils in the moderation sample the school day prior to your scheduled moderation visit, then this will need to be signed and returned to the School Improvement email address above. There will also be a link to the briefing which is scheduled for 21 May at 2.30pm, where I will explain the moderation process and be available for any questions.

Moderators will contact schools to arrange mutually convenient dates for moderation visits from Monday 19 May.
