Working together to improve school attendance: move to statutory status

You are aware the Department for Education issued its working together to improve school attendance guidance in May 2022. 

As of the 19 August 2024, this guidance for maintained schools, academies, independent schools and local authorities the status of this document will move to statutory. In addition the ‘Summary table of responsibilities for school attendance' will also move to statutory as of the same date.
