SEND Live Event 2024 - 'Making sense of SEND in the classroom'

We are starting to release some of our workshop information each week between now and 17th April 2024. 

Please see below some information on the release of our first two speakers. - An Introduction to Dyscalculia and Maths Difficulties - Cat Eadle 

The focus of this workshop will be on dyscalculia and maths difficulties. Cat will talk about what Dyscalculia is, maths difficulties, the indicators of Dyscalculia, cooccurrence, maths anxiety, diagnosis, assessment for learning, creating firm foundations and give top tips on how to help in the classroom - linking to the Oxfordshire OAT and the inclusive support checklist. - 

Dr Jamie Galpin & Clare Ward from Special Networks are providing us with two different workshops this year: 

1) Interoception: This workshop will explore sensory processing and the impact this has on access to learning, environment, and emotional regulation. Jamie and Clare will discuss interoception and the physiological effects this can have on the lives of children and young people. 

2) Incorporating sensory into your routines: This workshop will provide strategies to incorporate sensory work within the learning environment and daily routine and the importance of ‘starting the day in a sensory way!’
