The Royal Ballet School - Primary Steps on Demand

The Royal Ballet School has a new digital dance platform for primary schools named primary steps on demand.

NHS figures released in October 2023, showed that the proportion of 10 and 11-year-olds who were overweight were not back to pre-pandemic levels, and almost a quarter of English children are obese at the end of primary school. 

The Royal Ballet School created this platform with the key aim to get children moving which increases several physical health benefits, but also boosts confidence, self-esteem and creativity.  

The programme is incredibly easy to use, teachers do not need any experience in dance whatsoever and it comes at a very low-cost averaging at £3 per pupil, per school year.
