OEAP accredited training opportunities for school staff
Schools are reminded that it is a requirement of OCC policy for schools to have a current, qualified EVC in place. EVC training has to be refreshed every 3 years through attendance at an accredited re-validation course.
The next OEAP accredited EVC re-validation courses will take place at:
- Hill End Outdoor Education Centre, OX2 9NJ
- Time/Date - 1pm - 4.30 pm, Tuesday 10 December 2024 1pm - 4.30 pm
- Thursday 6 February 2025
- Cost £75.00
The next full OEAP accredited Educational Visit Co-ordinator (EVC) Training course will take place at:
- Hill End Outdoor Education Centre, OX2 9NJ
- 9 am - 3.30 pm, Wednesday 5th February 2025
- Cost £205.00

Visit Leader training focuses specifically on developing leader competence through identifying the core components for organising a successful visit: using the National Guidance; principles and rationale for visits; legal expectations including the local (OCC) context; planning, preparation and evaluation of visits; risk management; emergency planning; and monitoring. It is strongly recommended that all visit leaders participate in this training.
The training will be delivered in your school for up to 20 staff. The delivery options:
- Whole day – this includes a practical module that covers safety at water margins, vehicle and pedestrian safety, use of simple maps and safety in public access areas.
Cost £567.00 - Half-day - Theory module only.
