New OCC Nursery Admissions Policies for September 24

Following consultation earlier this year, thank you to those who contributed - we have now confirmed the two revised nursery admissions policies. These have been updated to reflect the changes in early years funding entitlement for working parents. 

All community and voluntary controlled schools, and all freestanding maintained nursery schools must use the appropriate new policy for place allocations starting September 24 onwards.

Please ensure that your information to parents signposts to the relevant policy here. There are some areas within the policy that schools can vary to reflect their specific offer such as age range, but schools should not amend oversubscription or other key criteria. Academies and Aided schools may find the OCC model helpful as a basis for review of their own nursery admissions policy.
