New digital mental health service to support children and young people
Oxfordshire County Council have commissioned a new service for three years to complement mental health services across the county. Tellmi is an evidence-based mental health service, offering digital pre-moderated peer support.
Tellmi is available all year round through an app or website. It gives young people, aged between 11 and 18, a safe and anonymous place to talk about their feelings, get support, and receive counselling, if needed. By working with local mental health support systems and school mental health teams, Tellmi aims to improve access to advice and support across the county.
Tellmi combines peer support with counsellor intervention, making it easy for young people to get the right level of help. It’s one of the few online spaces where young people can safely connect with peers of the same age to share advice and experiences. High-risk users are immediately connected to counsellors for one-on-one support.
The Tellmi Directory offers direct links to crisis and specialist support services, along with over 700 vetted tools and resources for managing mental health. For more information, please see link or contact sharmaine@tellmi.help
