*New date* for training on meeting the needs of children with maths difficulties

Children and young people can experience difficulties with maths for many different reasons and do not always progress as we would hope in response to typical ‘off the shelf’ interventions. Based on emerging research, this course will give you a strong understanding of what can underpin maths difficulties. It will give you a framework to understand and identify the factors causing maths difficulties and to plan teaching and tailored interventions to meet children’s maths needs. This course is led by Educational Psychologists and involves one day face-to-face training and two online twilight workshops (to support with implementation through discussion and collaborative problem-solving). Suitable for primary and secondary school colleagues. When: Wednesday 20 March 2024, 9am - 3.30pm

Where: Oxfordshire County Library, Westgate, Oxford, OX1 1DJ Online twilights: 3.30-5pm on Tues 23 April and Tues 21 May Cost: £175
