Last chance for Free Energy Assessments
Last chance for free energy assessments
Action on Carbon and Energy in Schools (ACES) is offering he last few remaining free energy assessments for county-maintained schools. If you’d like to find out where your school could be saving on energy, get in touch with the team today to register your interest.
How an energy assessment can help your school
An energy assessment is a comprehensive look at your school’s energy use and will provide practical ways to help reduce energy waste. An energy assessment will:
- Provide a tailored plan for your school’s specific needs
- Include ‘quick win’ actions – simple, low-cost or no-cost measures, such as switching off unused appliances, installing hot water timers and adding insulation to boilers.
- Explore what low carbon technologies, such as solar panels or air source heat pumps, could be right for your school
- Signpost you to any available funding to help you install the energy saving measures.
Why make energy improvements?
By improving your school’s energy efficiency, you can:
- Reduce your energy bills
- Cut your carbon footprint – demonstrating your leadership in tackling climate change
- Create a more comfortable learning environment for staff and students.
We’ve already supported over half of county maintained schools in improving their energy efficiency. If you’d also like to get energy advice and support, we’d love to hear from you.
