Household Support Fund - School Holiday Vouchers

Dear Schools and Early Years Providers

Please find attached a parent/carer letter (81.2kb, docx) relating to the December 2024 (2 weeks) and February Half Term (1 week) arrangements for the Household Support Fund. We are asking you to support eligible children with £15 per child/per week to purchase supermarket vouchers/or equivalent for each holiday period. Early Years (37kb, doc) and Schools (38kb, doc) Grant Agreement attached to help explain terms and conditions.

Thank you once again for your continued support in distributing food vouchers to children and their families during what we know is a busy time in schools and settings.

We appreciate that the situation regarding who qualifies for the funding is regularly changing and, as a result, there may be some discrepancies between how much funding the Council has provided to education providers, and the number of children you have supported. On the forms below we are asking you to confirm how many children you supported so we can settle any balances.

In cases where you are owed money by the Council, we will provide the extra funding to both schools and early years in March 2025.

In cases where you owe money to the Council, that discrepancy will be subtracted in March 2025.

Please note, there are two categories of children supported.

  1. Children who are eligible for free school meals, 2YOF, or EYPP.
  2. Children who are not eligible for FSM/2YOF/EYPP but have been supported at the discretion of education providers (“discretionary support”).

The forms below ask you to report these two groups separately—please do not double count when reporting.

We ask that you follow the appropriate link(s) below and report to us the information on the payments made.

N.B. Schools with Early Years provision: please complete both forms separately. Please only report support provided to children below year R on the Early Years form—do not duplicate reporting. Please do not report any Early Years expenditure on the Schools form, nor Schools expenditure on the Early Years form.

HSF recording spreadsheet (31.55kb, xls) attached to help you record information for reporting - we do not need this information so please do not send as there is a risk of breaching data regulations.

Please complete this return by Friday 7 March 2025 - we will then make arrangements for any balancing payments to be made.

Queries related to the data return should be directed to CSCHouseholdSupport@Oxfordshire.gov.uk
