Hello from Jo Moxon

Having worked for the last nine years as an Assistant Director on the national interim circuit I am delighted to return to Oxfordshire in a different capacity to provide some time limited support to the formation of a formal strategic education partnership. My previous roles, both substantive and interim have had an important focus on improving outcomes for children and young people through strong bonds between services and education providers. 

I will be working to initiate and support a strategic education partnership between the Council and education leaders in Oxfordshire. In my experience such partnerships are vital in the ever changing ‘mixed economy’ of provision. Done well, they can make a huge contribution to the effectiveness working relationships, mutual understanding and challenge on behalf of the children and young people we serve. The new partnership will be representative of Oxfordshire learning landscape and will seek to establish coherent connections to a network of existing groups and decision-making Boards. It will provide response to local priority issues including those raised in the recent Education Commission report and will be key to the co production of an Education and Inclusion Strategy. 

I look forward to working with you on what I hope will become a much valued and productive alliance which is due to begin its work in September.
