Effective Practice and Pedagogy in the Reception Class
Grounded in effective pedagogy and practice these sessions will provide you with a face-to-face opportunity to hear from, and work with, other reception teachers and experienced EYFS leaders. They will provide a forum for questions, queries and concerns, and the sharing of ideas of what works well.
They will also guide you in making the best use of data and meaningful assessments as you work towards the Statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Profile at the end of the Reception Year. Reception teachers will be able to:
- Reflect on how they meet the statutory requirements of the EYFS
- Understand how to make best use of assessment information
- Have an understanding of what effective practice and pedagogy looks like in reception and how to implement it.
