DfE Capital Grants for School Based Nurseries

The Government bidding round for capital grants for their School Based Nurseries Initiative is now open and runs until 19 December 2024 This is aimed at primary schools with surplus space which have a good Ofsted history and are financially sound. They can work in partnership with a pvi provider or run the provision themselves. Information on eligibility, how to apply and key criteria is available here via the government website. Applications are to be made direct to the DfE.

Please contact School Organisation at school.planning@oxfordshire.gov.uk including ‘SBN’ in the subject title indicating which areas of the school you would like to convert for nursery provision. We can provide floor plans and high level data on early years sufficiency for your local area.
