Brake's Kids Walk is back for 2024!

We're delighted to tell you that registrations are now open to take part in Brake's Kids Walk 2024 on Wednesday 19 June!

Share this bulletin and spread the word to educators in your network to sign up now for a free action pack of teaching resources, and take part in a walk in their local community and share important road safety messages.

Why is Brake's Kids Walk important?

Children of all ages are at risk of being hurt or killed when walking near roads. On average, six children are killed or seriously injured on UK roads every day – that’s equivalent to a whole class of children every single week.

Brake's Kids Walk is a great way to engage primary school-aged children with road safety issues, promote the benefits of walking, and raise awareness among parents and the wider community about the need to protect children on roads.

Everyone who signs up to Brake's Kids Walk can access a free action pack of teaching resources including:

  • Lesson plans
  • Assemblies
  • Activities
  • Posters
  • And much more!

Printed action packs will be posted out for free on a first-come, first-served basis so sign up now to avoid disappointment.

Don't forget, in April we're running a Beep Beep! Day for younger children aged 2-7 with special learning resources aimed specifically at this age group. If this would be a better fit for you and the children you work with, find out more and sign up here.

We're delighted to say over 3,000 Early Years educators have already signed up to take part so join in the fun this April.
