Attachment Aware Schools

Are you an education professional passionate about evidence that supports nurture, attachment and trauma informed practice? If so, the Attachment Aware Schools Research Conference is something that you may be interested in! 

The conference is a partnership event between Oxford Brookes University (OBU), The Mulberry Bush Organisation (MBO), the Attachment Research Community (ARC) and SEBDA.  This Research Conference aims to disseminate the research findings from two projects led by the Mulberry Bush Outreach Team:  The Mulberry Bush Nurturing Schools Project (with Dr David Colley, OBU, Laura Dennis, MBO Nicoleta Gaciu, OBU)   The Beacon Project (with Lucy Roberts, University of Sussex, Ray Burrows MBO and April Gold, Diocese of Coventry Education Board) In addition, the Rees Centre at the University of Oxford will present the research findings from the Alex Timpson Attachment and Trauma Awareness in Schools Programme that investigated the impact of whole school attachment and trauma awareness training on staff, children and parents/carers in over 300 schools across England. 

The Research Conference will also include opportunities to network with like-minded colleagues and to choose from 4 practical and interactive workshops. 

When and where is the conference? Thursday 20 June 2024  Harcourt Hill Campus, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford UK  9:00-15:00. On site parking will be available.
