We offer three strands of training for governors, trustees, committee representatives and governance professionals (clerks).
1. The core package
We offer the core package remotely through MS Teams. The training is available via a subscription or on a 'pay as you use' basis (see below for the current rate). Subscribing schools get free, unlimited attendance to any courses (subject to available places).

Pay-as-you-use rates for non-subscribers
- Induction - £566.50 per governor, £360.50 per clerk
- All other sessions - £154.50 per governor/clerk
2. Free one-off events and briefings
These events and briefings are free to all board members and clerks. We advertise separately through GovernorHub and Schools News.
3. Free bitesize training
The free bitesize learning resources can be downloaded to work through at your own pace.
How to access the training
Training can be booked directly through GovernorHub for all maintained schools in Oxfordshire. Log into your account and click on the 'Oxfordshire Governor Services Training' tab.
If your school subscribes to training, there will be no additional charge for this training. All other bookings will be charged on a 'pay as you use' basis.
For schools with no access to GovernorHub, bookings can be made through Governor Services:

Cancellations
Cancellations made by the delegate
You will not be charged for cancelling a course delivered via MS Teams.
Cancellations made by Governor Services
Governor Services reserves the right to cancel any course or event if there are insufficient numbers to make it viable. Or in the unlikely event that a venue or trainer becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. In such circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible. You can choose to have one of the following.
- A free transfer to another course or programme.
- A full refund of payment made (refund applies to non-subscribing schools only).
