What can Food & More do for your school?
If you entrust your school meals provision to Food & More, you benefit from the peace of mind which comes from knowing that the Food & More menus which change three times a year, conform to the latest government guidelines and industry Best Practise.
We use fresh seasonal produce sourced wherever possible from local Oxfordshire suppliers.
We support health lifestyles by:
- Baking rather than frying
- Keeping down the salt, sugar and fat content of all our meals
- Promoting lean meat and poultry, fresh fruit and vegetables
All Food & More staff undergo DBS checks and are fully trained in health and food safety.
Food & More provides a comprehensive catering management service allowing the school senior team to focus on delivering successful and memorable learning experiences for all pupils.
Academies need to sign up directly with Carillion. If you are an academy and wish to find out more about the service and for a bespoke price for your school, please contact Astley Shields on 07774870008
Engaging with Schools and Pupils
Food & More believes that it is essential that the catering service is seen as an integrated part of school life and that each school has a service which is tailored to its specific needs. That’s why the catering team will actively encourage pupils to choose a healthy meal and listen to any comments about the food from the pupils. The catering teams will also offer help and support to schools with initiatives such as cooking clubs and growing clubs where the produce grown in schools is cooked and served as part of the school meal.
Further pupil feedback is also sought with the use of comment cards specifically designed for primary schools, this feedback is used to help with the development of future menus.
Members of the Food & More management team will attend parents events, school council and governors meetings to be available to answer any questions regarding the meals at the school and our Development Chef is happy to run Healthy Eating, Funky Fruit and cookery workshops as part of our offer.
Food & More has developed new eye-catching logo featuring fan fruit and vegetable characters to appeal to primary age children and encourage them to take advantage of the school meals service.
