We're introducing a new initiative for Oxfordshire schools. This initiative will enable students to visit council sites, engage in human libraries, and take part in team-building exercises. These activities aim to encourage students to consider applying for our Local Government Week.

This event is incredibly beneficial for students because it provides them with exposure to a variety of career paths. Previously, this experience has prompted students to deepen their understanding of certain industries through work placements, and it has often been a stepping stone towards apprenticeships and employment in those areas.

At the human library event, students will circulate in either groups or individually, questioning professionals about their careers. A bell rings every five minutes, signalling students to proceed to the next professional, allowing them to engage with many different experts by the session's end
