‘Under My Skin’ – the play produced by Pegasus theatre in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council, which aims to increase awareness of self-harm and help young people access the right support – toured 30 Oxfordshire secondary schools in its second year, reaching around 5470 young people in years 8 and 9.
Of the 4409 young people who responded to our evaluation, approximately:
- 50 per cent reported that the play increased their knowledge of self-harm a lot.
- 70 per cent reported feeling very confident in knowing how and where to seek advice or support about self-harming after having seen the play.
