Good communication is the gateway to learning, friendships, academic achievement and success at work. Employers now rate communication skills as their highest priority, above even qualifications. A number of recent Ofsted reports note that a common feature of the most successful schools surveyed was the attention they gave to developing speaking and listening
Poor language is linked to poor behaviour even in very young children. 2 in 3 language-delayed three-year olds have ‘behaviour problems’. 81% of children with emotional and behavioural disorders have unidentified language difficulties.
This year’s inclusion conference will be an inspiring day full of practical ideas for improving education for learners with communication and interaction needs.
There will be time to network and share good practice, excellent speakers and case studies.
Come at 9am for coffee and biscuits and to look around the stalls in the exhibition area.
