I have been in post as Deputy Director for Education & Learning from the beginning of Term 6 and it has been quite a whirlwind. It has been my pleasure to meet so many of you at the recent Breakfast Briefings, in various meetings, conferences, or on visits to your schools. Thank you to all of you for being so welcoming and supportive at what is always a very busy time, as we draw one school year to a close and prepare for the next. If I haven’t had the opportunity to meet you yet, I very much look forward to doing so in the new school year.
I am very pleased and delighted to be able to inform you that we have successfully appointed to the following key posts:
- Head of Service for SEND – we will welcome Jayne Howarth from Buckinghamshire County Council.
- Head of Service for School Organisation and Sufficiency - Allyson Milward will remain in this post on a permanent basis following her interim cover.
- Head of Service for Learner Engagement – our new service will welcome Deborah Bell from the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Thank you to those of you that supported this recruitment process, we hope for these appointments to start as soon as possible in the autumn term, and will write to you with more information in due course.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all your staff, for your fantastic hard work and support over this academic year. I hope you are all able to enjoy some much-deserved rest and relaxation over the summer and I wish you all a lovely summer break.
