On Tuesday 9 July Humanists UK will be running another national free conference for primary and secondary RE teachers.
Humanists UK say: "We’ve seen a huge increase in demand from teachers for support with teaching about non-religious worldviews. Last year’s Commission on RE emphasised the need for RE to include teaching about humanism and it appears on an increasing number of locally agreed syllabuses. Learning about humanism can also contribute to students’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development (SMSC). The conference will offer a series of stimulating seminars and workshops, designed to enhance your subject knowledge of humanism and the non-religious, and support you with practical ideas for teaching about them in the classroom."
